What you can work out here
TinyTools covers one chain of everyday questions: hours worked → time card → overtime → pay → salary → paycheck. Start from clock times and a calculator turns them into decimal hours; feed those into the overtime split; apply your rate to get gross pay; convert between hourly and annual; and estimate the tax withholding that separates gross from take-home.
- Work hours. The Time Card, Hours Worked, Time Clock, Working Hours, Time, and Decimal Hours calculators add up shifts, subtract breaks, handle overnight hours, and convert minutes to the decimal hours payroll needs.
- Overtime. The Overtime Calculator applies time-and-a-half (and daily double-time where it exists) using US federal, California, Ontario, UK, or Australian rules, or a threshold and multiplier you set.
- Pay and salary. Hourly Pay projects a rate across a week, month, and year; Salary to Hourly converts in both directions with PTO adjustments.
- Paycheck. The Paycheck and Take-Home Pay calculators estimate US federal income tax, Social Security, Medicare, and state withholding for 2026.
How the calculators work
A chatbot can answer "what's time and a half on $22?" But a real timesheet — seven days, lunch breaks, an overnight shift, an overtime threshold that depends on where you work — is a structured problem. Each calculator here keeps the inputs organised, shows the formula it used, and lets you copy, print, or share the result.
Everything runs as client-side JavaScript in your browser. The hours, rates, salaries, and tax settings you enter are never sent to a server or stored — see the Privacy Policy. The calculation logic is a single tested engine shared across every tool, so the same inputs always give the same answer, and the tax tables are versioned to a specific year.
Accuracy and scope
Hours and overtime math is exact. Pay and tax figures are estimates of payroll withholding for United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, useful for planning and for checking a pay stub — not a substitute for your employer's payroll or professional advice. Tax coverage is US federal plus FICA and a set of states (California, New York, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and the nine no-income-tax states) for 2026; where a jurisdiction is not modelled the tool says so rather than guessing. Full details are on the Methodology & Sources page, and the limits are set out in the Disclaimer.
New to any of this? The guides explain the rules behind the numbers — how overtime thresholds work, what comes out of a paycheck, how to read a pay stub, and the difference between biweekly and semimonthly pay.
